KNEZ WETLAND ENHANCEMENT

This unique wetland is one of the northernmost remaining wet prairie habitats with Tufted Hairgrass, which was the predominant wet prairie grass in the Willamette Valley before it was settled.  The Wetlands Conservancy has been working for over 15 years to restore this urban gem, located adjacent to Highway 217 in an industrial area of Tigard.

Please join us on May 17th to continue our enhancement work by planting native plant cuttings along Red Rock Creek to provide shade along the stream.  We will also continue removing invasive non-native plants.
