Tualatin
Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK) is geering up for its 19th Annual Discovery Day event on Saturday, June 28.  This year's route will float through rural Scholls in Washington County.

This unique trip allows paddlers to canoe and kayak on a stretch of the Tualatin River not easily accessible to the public.  Discovery Day provides paddlers firsthand experience of the Tualatin to promote the spirit of protecting and restoring it.

Discovery Day will also feature the Politician's Paddle, a half-mile race among local elected officials.  Last year Metro Council President David Bradon and Metro Councilor Carl Hosticka won the race.

TRK volunteers will help DIscovery Day paddlers launch boars at Eagle landing to begin their 5.5 mile journey down the river.  Each paddler will receive a Tualatin Tales guidebook filled with natural and historical facts about the stretch of the river.

Contact Tualatin Riverkeepers to reserve your launch time.
