Planning for Salmon Recovery With Fish Refuges

Oregon Trout

http://www.ortrout.org

With decades of planning and billions of dollars behind us in the effort to recover salmon, we still have not employed one of the oldest tools: refuges. Over lunch we'll discuss the role protected areas might play in salmon recovery, how a network of refuges might be designed, and the creation of the first refuge for native fish in Oregon in the Donner und Blitzen River on Steens Mountain. Jason Miner, Conservation Director at Oregon Trout, will be the presenter.
