Friends of the Columbia Gorge needs people to speak out, and step up to help
Friends of the Columbia Gorge needs more friends -- people to help them oppose Oregon's first off-reservation casino. This 603,000 square foot mega-casino, would cover the equivalent of 60 Portland city blocks, and would sit in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, our National scenic treasure.
If you want to help oppose this improper development, there are still things you can do:
- Send an online letter by May 15th to officials in the federal government saying why you oppose the project
- Learn more about the proposed casino, and then write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper expressing your opinions
- Contact Friends of the Columbia Gorge (e-mail Kelley or call 503.241.3762) to volunteer your time to help oppose the development
